Vaikom is a place on the western side of Kottayam district in Kerala.
The satyagraha happened between March 30, 1924 and November 23, 1925.
The prominent leader of the movement was the Congress leader T.K. Madhavan.
It was a movement against untouchability and caste discrimination.
