  • Uttarakhand Foundation Day is celebrated on November 9
     
  • It is also known as Uttarakhand Day or Uttarakhand Diwas
     
  • To mark the formation of the state of Uttaranchal in 2000
     
  • Name was changed to Uttarakhand in 2007
     
  • Gairsain was announced the summer capital in March 2020
     
  • The winter capital is Dehradun
     
  • The state is known as the Land of Gods or "Dev Bhumi"
