Rooftop Scholar Scheme




The scheme is under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.


Recently the Union Minister of Power & NRE announced that 3377 MW capacity has been allocated to States under this scheme.


The scheme aims to generate solar power through the installation of solar panels on the rooftops of the houses.


It aims to achieve 40,000 MW from Rooftop Solar Projects by 2022.


DISCOMs are responsible for the implementation of the scheme in the states.
