India's FDI Inflow



  • India has emerged as the largest recipient of Foreign Portfolio Investments in 2021. 

  • The net FPI inflow for the fiscal year 2020-21 was Rs 2.74 lakh crores.

  • The investments in the equity segment for the year 2020-21 touched Rs 2,74,503.

  • India's Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) equity inflows contracted by 16% to USD 43.17 billion.

  • It is up to the data from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade(DPIIT), during April-December 2021.
